Interesting new movie coming out and the preview is now on IMDB.
"Six tourists hire an extreme tour guide who takes them to the abandoned city Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor. During their exploration, they soon discover they are not alone."
It does look like it is filmed at least some at Pripyat but not sure.

I'm definitely interested, I don't care if it's a good or bad horror movie, I just want to see more of Pripyat! I'm actually kinda expecting it to be a so-so horror movie because it's from the same guy who did Paranormal Activity (which I found to be pretty dull and predictable). Thanks for bringing it to our attention

For the record, I hate watching scary movies because I almost always get super amped afterward. This was, however, a very cool film. I won't spoil it, but for those of you who do see it, you will probably be shaking your heads at some of the stupid decisions the characters make.

I went and saw this. The movie itself was a little bleh, in my opinion. The first half when it was mostly just exploring Pripyat was far better than the second half when it became The Hills Have Eyes in Ukraine. On another note though, I could not stop praising the set to the people I watched it with. Having done an essay on the Chernobyl disaster I loved seeing and hearing about it again. Did they film on location? I would think not, but dang, it sure did look good.

I'm a little jaded when it comes to Zombie movies... I'm super picky when it comes to acting, and not many Zombie movies have good actors. Zombieland being an exception.
This movie doesn't really look any different from the hundreds of others like it.

Trust me, they weren't zombies, but the acting was averagely bad. In the end it turns out that they were
escaped patients/prisoners from some Ukrainian lab/asylum, which is unfortunate because throughout the entire film they are leading you to believe it's a similar situation to the Hills Have Eyes.
Well at least that's what I got out of it. It was very poorly explained.

I may as well give it a try. Equal opportunity and all that.
