If it involves nuclear war, pandemic, economic collapse, natural disaster, alien invasion, machine revolution, global warming, cosmic rays, zombie apocalypse, astronomical impact, animal revolt, science gone wrong, or any combination of the above, discuss it here.

A different bit of PA fiction - and it's free
« Result #1 Yesterday at 10:59pm »

Hello, all-
For those who are interested, I've recently released my new PA novel, "An Empty Land of Plenty." It's definitely not a "gear list" type of book (you know the type- the brand and model number of every water purifier, etc. are given in excruciating detail) but is instead the story of a young man's journey in a post-pandemic world. Adventure, action, sci-fi, even a bit of romance are all there, hopefully a little something for everyone. It's currently offered for FREE on Amazon Kindle for the next two days. I hope you enjoy it!-Mark

Just finished Stephen Knight's Earthfall...it was an entertaining read. Started A.R. Wise's Deadlocked.

Not from Boise... or Idaho... or even the northern hemisphere for that matter... but welcome to the forum.
If you don't get any responses here from people who may be from your part of the world, maybe opening a general thread about where people are from might get some answers.
Anyway, hope you enjoy your time here :)

At the moment, everyone here is polite, friendly and considerate (one of the better forums I've seen in the last 12 years) so there's not a lot of policing to be done in that regard.
The main thing we've seen so far is spammers who don't really commit to any bad behaviour but they do make their presence felt :(

 Hello from Boise ID
« Result #8 on May 15, 2013, 11:49am »

Is there anyone from Boise ID or the surrounding area on here? Let me know I have been a big fan of the Apocalypse for a long time and looking for other people to talk about it.

Brief update for the next reader:
Bethesda just released a DLC that brings the player back to the wasteland after the end of the final mission (think the Broken Steel DLC for Fallout 3) for some more racing, mutant bashing and so on. It also adds a new clan of bandits. It might just be speculation, but I'd argue that we could be looking at a couple more DLCs in the future...
