Hello Friends!

I've been introduced to the PA genre by my dad, and been interested ever since. From the East coast of the US (where any kind of apocalypse is dangerous cus there's just too many people packed into too small of a place).
Some of my favorite reads are S.M. Stirling's Change novels, Andre Norton's Star Man's Son, and George R. Stewart's Earth Abides.
One of my favorite films is the Book of Eli.

You'll probably find me lurking around the preparation, art, and literature forums.

I look forward to surviving the apocalypse with you all.

Hello All,
It was my friend who directed me to this forum, though it was by my own travels that I stumbled upon the PA genre (with some help from friends). I have not had a chance yet to to read much literature (though S.M. Stirling's Emberverse or Change novels are among the few). I am interested in the artwork and preparation.

I have recently started to acquire black smithing skills as well as some others, so I'm hoping to be prepared. Looking forward to learning and surviving with all of you.

I've long been a fan of dystopian futures of which PA is a possible outcome.
But it was Fallout 3 that really got me excited (engaged?) about PA.
I'm now in the process of making a PA movie and hoping to get some opinions from members here.

Hey y'all. Got bored before bed and started googling. Found the site and decided to join. Hopefully Ill stick around for a bit though my experience with forums like this in the past has been less than stellar. But I don't judge all forums by experiences from others.

My interests are varied and wide ranging. Everything from reloading, gunsmithing, blacksmithing, hunting, shooting, as well as fishing wood work, and what not.

Thanks Megaton. It seems to be a pretty decent place thus far, though some of my preferred topics dont seem to get too much attention.

Howdy all,
I'm Pat McNamara, writer and lover of Post-Apoc fiction in all forms. When I was a youngster, Terminator and Escape From New York were pretty much hardwired into my creative process by near obsessive repeat viewings. Another inspiration was growing up in an era when M.A.D. wasn't just a comedy comic. Just posted a promo in the Books thread to a new P/A space-western comic I'm developing called Legend of Spacelord Mo Fo. Looking forward to getting some more inspiration here.
Cheers,
Pat

Hi there!

I'm almost 30 years old and live in Norway. PA is a setting genre I find very interesting. So much so that I am developing a roleplaying game on it called Brent Jord (Burnt Earth).

Then I just came over this forum, and thought that I might as well stop by and see if there are something to learn and talk about :)

Hmm, a new post-apoc RPG - count me as interested! Will it be available in an English language version?
