I have looked pretty much everywhere I could think on, and not found it.
If you find it in a e-book version of it. Please let me know.

From what I've heard about the book, it reads like Night Work by Thomas Glavinic. My review of Night Work:

You try torrent, rapidshare, and megaupload? I use the last 2 for my...video's but it has more than just adult stuff lol.

Well, of course. If I hadn't already looked around for a online/download version I wouldn't ask here.

That would be excellent. I've been able to find e-books of some hard to find PA books on mIRC except for QE. They have a chat room dedicated to sharing books on Undernet server. IRC is a better source for e-books than torrent.

Hi all - new poster. Here specifically looking for 'The Quiet Earth' in book format after watching the movie. Destined to become a cult classic in the sometime future, imo.

I would be interested in chucking-in for a copy that could be passed around, scanned, whetever. Avid scifi reader here - from 40s pulp onwards to contemporary 'hard science' stuff.

Also, I have a fairly hefty chunk (a few thousand) of Asimov, Farmer, Brunner, you name it - & would be happy to help out those that need 'what I got'.

Cheers. =]

So I bought a copy a while back for $170 on Ebay. I’m going to be sending it to Fear to read, but then I’m going to resell it. I’d love for it to be available to everyone, but I'd like to get my money back, and I like getting review copies of books from publishers, so I don’t want to be forever known as the guy who leaked it on the ‘net.

But if someone were to offer me $170 for it, they could have it.

I'm finally selling my copy of The Quiet Earth. Bidding ends tomorrow, and it's only up to $100 now, so if you want to get a copy cheap, now might be your chance.

Yup, went in the mail today. Priority mail, so I'd think you'd have it on Friday or Saturday.

Thanks man, I don't know what I'm looking forward to more, reading it, or just having it in my collection, since I'll never be able to afford a hard cover.

It's definitely not falling apart or anything, but just be gentle when you read it. I tried to not open the pages very much and kinda peek in when I read it so as not to crease the spine. I've got a crappy ex-library version of it also, which I won't have to be so gentle with when I re-read it.

I may like to work something out with you to rent your reading copy from you if you would be interested. That way I don't have to take the chance of creasing the spine or damaging the copy I just got.
